Guardian Angel Portraits
Often those around us have Guardian Angels. It I feel the presence, I will paint them.
This is Nicole Gee. The photo reference was from the UCMC.
She was sadly killed at the Kabul, airport during the Afghanistan attack by a suicide bomber. Shortly before her death she was part of the team that recued this baby.
Something in her spirit touched me. So, when Christopher announced he was enlisting into the Marines, I knew I had to paint her as his guardian angel.

I was asked to do a portrait of my daughter's husband's mother.
His mother tragically died when he was still a youngster.
After struggling with old grainy Polaroid photos, I had an insight on what to paint.
Her message came through loud and clear. She was not there to be separate from him, but she wanted him to know she would always be there with him. Staying close by and looking over his shoulder as his forever guardian angel.
This is the image that came through. Adam and his mom.
