Cats have always been near and dear to my heart. Within the last couple of years, strays have been showing up. Some call them free range cats, others call them feral. I live in a wooded area and the only way these guys could be showing up are one, people who live in the area let them roam and they don't return and/or two, people dump them. There is such an abundance of cats that no one seems to want. The shelters don't want or can't take more and the recue groups are overwhelmed too. So now I have a small cat population. Thankfully a wonderful woman (who has asked to be anonymous) has volunteered her time and energy to help me trap and vet these lost babies. And to help me with the veterinary costs I have been financing this with art sales.
I want to thank a long time friend, Deborah Curtis Vercammen, fellow animal lover and now also a collector of my artwork for purchasing these two plein air paintings. The proceeds of which have gone towards vetting my feral family. Thank you Deborah. You are the best!
